I no longer think that and now I send off Christmas cards to everyone in my address book. It's heaps of fun to send out and receive cards and it's also an exceptional way to keep in contact with friends and family who I might not manage to speak to at other times during the year.
I also realised that Christmas cards can be a collectors item and I have started collecting vintage Christmas cards. I keep any collectible cards I see during the holiday season but also search on the net for Christmas cards. They can be bought at auction whenever you like and a fun way to buy them is at auction.
